Description
The Rear Leading Light at Gourdon, located on Brae Road, is a late 19th-century cylindrical tower made of painted brick, situated on a hillside above the harbour. It features a battered base and an eaves course of diagonally-set bricks. The tower has a conical roof covered with replacement grey slates. Access to the building is via a timber platform leading to a boarded timber entrance door. On the south side, which faces the sea, there is a projecting lantern window positioned below the eaves.
Inside, as observed in 2013, there is a timber spiral staircase and a replacement timber roof structure.
