Description

The Octagon at Fasque is an interesting and unusual gothic folly built around 1800, likely by John Paterson. It features an octagonal plan with pointed arch openings and quatrefoil details. As of 2009, the structure is roofless and constructed from rubble with patchy render and ashlar dressings. Inside, there is a fireplace with a large red sandstone lintel and a small cupboard recess in the northwest wall.
