Description
Cartlehaugh is a house dating from around 1786, although it was first mentioned in 1787, and the joinery appears to be from a later period. The building is two storeys high with three windows, featuring skew puts and coped chimneys. Its front displays a chequer-work design made of whinstone and rust-tinted granite. Known historically as 'The Damboard (Draughtboard) Inn,' it includes a cherry cocking. There is a Victorian porch and a bay window, along with a smaller house, possibly from the 1780s, and offices located at the rear.
