Description

Tilquhillie Castle is a modified Z plan tower house that stands four storeys high and features a vaulted basement. The exterior is finished with harl and slate, and it has rounded and corbelled angles. Above the door, there is an inset stone that is dated 1576. The castle has been deserted since 1948.
