Description
The presbytery of The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Garioch and St John the Evangelist in Fetternear was designed by George Goldie in 1859. It features a mid-pointed, four-bay nave with a bellcote and a porch located at the south-west gable, along with a chancel. The building is constructed from dark coursed granite with red dressings and is buttressed only at the west front. Inside, there is an open trussed rafter roof, although the reredos has unfortunately been removed. The presbytery itself is a two-storey, L-shaped structure with a lean-to porch at the angle, which has a shouldered depressed arch. Other openings in the building feature shouldered lintels.
