Description

The Riggin is a former school, possibly dating back to 1756 and originally a manse that was later converted. It is a 2-storey building with a 4-window front. The structure is built of split boulder rubble, which has been harl-pointed. There are single-storey wings to the rear. The building is currently in a dilapidated condition. Further details are recorded in the Ordnance Survey Abstracts, volumes 11, page 140, and 13, page 101.
