Description

Circa 1878. Single storey and attic, 20-bay terrace of 2-bay paired and mirrored cottages. Tooled coursed granite finely finished to margins of principal elevation; granite rubble to remainder. Rough-faced base course; eaves course.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near-symmetrical; 5 4-bay pairs of mirrored 2-bay cottages, doorways to 2 central bays at ground floor of each pair, panelled timber doors, with glazed upper panels to Nos 211 and 213; tripartite windows to outer 2 bays of each pair; gableted dormers with decorative bargeboards to centre 2 bays of attic floor, canted dormers with dentil moulded cornices to outer bays.

SW ELEVATION: gabled.

SE ELEVATION: not seen 2001.

NE ELEVATION: gabled.

Predominantly 2-pane timber sash and case windows; replacement windows to Nos 213, 217, 221 (attic floor) and 227 (attic floor). Grey slate roof with lead ridge. Stone skews with blocked skewputts. Coped granite gablehead and ridge stacks with octagonal cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low tooled granite walls to NW enclosing garden ground.
