28 Ferryhill Place Including Boundary Wall And Gatepiers, Aberdeen

26 Ferryhill Place is a later 19th-century terrace building featuring 12 bays, with single storey, basement, and attic, comprising 2-bay cottages. The exterior is constructed from finely finished granite rubble, with a base course and panelled aprons beneath the ground floor windows. The doorways are pilastered, corniced, and consoled, with predominantly panelled timber doors that include letterbox fanlights. The eaves course and canted dormers add to the architectural detail.

The south elevation is asymmetrical, with irregular fenestration in the basements. A doorway on the left is accessed by a flight of stone steps, flanked on the right by a corniced window with consoles and a dormer above. The attic features a variety of modern skylights and rectangular dormers to the left.

The east and west elevations are obscured by adjoining terraces. The north elevation is also asymmetrical, showcasing a variety of door and window patterns, along with dormers and skylights in the attic.

The building has a variety of timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with a lead ridge, and coped stone skews with blocked skewputts. The gablehead and ridge stacks are made of coped granite and feature circular and octagonal cans, along with cast-iron rainwater goods.

The interiors were not seen in 1999. The gatepiers and boundary walls consist of low coped granite walls enclosing gardens to the south and west, with ironwork railings and gates. The northern boundary features brick and granite coped rubble walls.
