Description
Saint Machar's Episcopal Church, located on Old Meldrum Road in Bucksburn, Aberdeen, was designed by A. Marshall Mackenzie of Matthews and Mackenzie and built between 1878 and 1880. The church features early pointed, pinned squared granite construction and has an aisleless five-bay nave that lacks a bellcote. It includes a west wheel window and an apsed chancel. The interior boasts a pointed waggon roof and a notable scheme of mural decoration in the chancel arch and chancel, which was completed by Douglas Strachen around 1904.
