Description

Garron Bridge, located on the Inveraray Castle Estate, was built in 1747 and designed by architect Robert Morris, with John Adam serving as the Master of Works. The bridge features a high segmental span and has a hump-backed shape. It is constructed from rubble with dressed face-work. Notable architectural details include a balustraded parapet, a central die-wall, corbelling, and ball-finials. The approach walls are designed with weathered projecting copes.
