Description

A two storey two bay L-shaped semi–detached house (not a pair) on north side of Bayview Park. Pitched natural slate roof with two storey return to rear. Main roof has a single cement rendered and coped chimney to right gable. Single cast iron skylight to rear pitch of main roof. Semicircular metal rainwater goods with matching downpipe. Walls are painted lined render with projecting render quoins to right of front elevation. All windows have granite cills. At left end of the front elevation is a single storey flat roof porch. Its roof is concealed behind a parapet and its walls are painted and rendered. Its front wall has recessed plaster piers to left and right of a central 2/2 sash window, there is a broad render band in line with window head, and this wraps around corners to form a “quoin” to each side. There is a second broad projecting band above this, to all three sides of the porch. The parapet has five indented diamond shapes to facade with three to each cheeks, and is stone coped. Left cheek has a fixed three pane window with semicircular head, and right cheek has a modern painted timber door with glazed pane to top with brass bell pull on square brass plaque to left door. To right of porch at ground floor are two 1/1 sliding sash windows. To first floor are three similar equally spaced windows, in line with those below. Left gable of main block forms party wall with an adjacent property. Right gable is rendered and blank. Rear elevation is abutted to left by a two-storey return. Remaining wall is cement rendered and has single 2/2 sliding sash window to each floor. Return roof is hipped at joins with main roof gabled to the rear. Cement rendered chimney rises from its rear gable, and it has two cast iron two pane skylights. Its left cheek has four 2/2 sliding sash windows, two to each floor. Gable end of return has two 2/2 sliding sash windows on right pitch of gable (from rear); one to ground and one to first floor both in line. Right cheek has a single 2/2 sash window to each floor at right end. To centre is a door, which leads into an abutting single storey lean-to porch with a corrugated asbestos roof.
