Description

This is a single-arch railway bridge carrying the Belfast to Dublin line over Kilmonaghan Road. The bridge was surveyed during the First Survey and again during the Second Survey, but was not considered worthy of a full survey or formal listing. It features a segmental headed arch constructed with squared, random-coursed, rock-faced stone walling for both the bridge itself and the retaining walls. A cut stone string course and coping are present, and the bridge is topped by a rendered parapet with plain tubular metal railings.
