Fountain outside, 8 St. Patricks Street, Draperstown, Co. Londonderry

This is a modern replica fountain located outside 8 St. Patrick’s Street, Draperstown, County Londonderry. It was installed as part of a townscape enhancement program and is a reproduction of a fountain featuring a plain, shaped column decorated with flutes. The column is topped with a cap that also has flutes, culminating in an acorn finial. The fountain was manufactured by J & L Ornamental Casting, Belfast. It is a modern replica and is not listed. Further details are documented in the Environment Heritage Service report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland: A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond (January 1997), identified as Pump no. 24. The fountain is situated within the Cahore townland and is located within a conservation area.
