Description

Two, two-storey, single-bay vernacular dwellings built c.1770, as part of a return extending from the end terrace building, 101 Main Street, located at the north east end of the principal thoroughfare through the town of Moira. The roofing is pitched natural slate with clay ridge tiles with clipped verge to right gable. uPVC rainwater goods with semi-circular guttering fixed to single brick corbelled eave. One chimney located centrally along the ridge; brick finish with two pots over. The walling throughout is natural finished random rubble basalt stone. The windows are modern single glazed, 6/6 top hung timber casements, painted white, with timber lintels and concrete cills. 1/1 timber windows to the rear. The front entrance door is modern timber with glazed panels and modern ironmongery. The principal elevation faces west and retains the appearance of two indivual dwellings. The front doors located off centre with associated single ground floor and single first floor windows. The left gable abuts the return of 101 Main Street. The rear elevation is adjacent to the grounds of St Johns Parish Church with a single ground floor window to each bay. The right gable is smooth rendered. The building faces directly into the rear yard looking onto the rear of the Georgian terrace lining Main Street, and is accessed via a coach entrance located at number 95, shared by others. The east elevation it is secluded by overgrown vegetation located at the perimeter of the adjacent church grounds.
