Description
Detached three-bay single-storey direct-entry rubble stone former thatched house, built c.1820. Rectangular on plan, facing east with further pair of stone structures to the north and further stone structure to the west of the road, forming an informal group. Pitched corrugated iron roof, cement verges, pair of brick chimneystacks and steel rainwater goods. Cement render (to front elevation), rubble stone to other elevations. Front east elevation is four windows wide with largely rebuilt walling having cement render and square-headed window openings and steel casement windows. Square-headed door opening with vertically-sheeted timber door. South gable has a single window opening to the attic with brick chimneystack rising from gable. West rear elevation has a large out-shot to the southern half, with two small window openings formed in redbrick with timber lintels and a steel casement window. The northern half has a further pair of small square-headed window openings with a single 2/2 timber sliding sash window. North gable is blank. Three-bay single-storey former dwelling positioned on the west side of road with pitched natural slate roof and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rubble stone walling with squared quoins, arrow slits to the east gable and redbrick linings to all openings. Timber pivot windows and vertically-sheeted timber door. Gable-fronted rubble stone former carriage house to the north with pitched corrugated iron roof and a large gothic opening to the east gable. Squared stone quoins to the rear west gable and a small round opening to the south elevation. The jambs to the arched opening are rounded in the form of a pair of piers with voussoired stones to the arch. Single-storey rubble stone outbuilding to the east of carriage house and main house and facing west. Pitched corrugated iron roof, rubble stone walling and three square-headed openings with vertically-sheeted timber doors.
