Description
The former Largy Manse, now demolished, was a Presbyterian minister’s residence located at 20 Largy Road, Largy, Limavady. Constructed between 1900 and 1919, the building was first shown on an Ordnance Survey map from 1909, having incorporated two earlier farmsteads. It served as the residence of the minister of Largy Presbyterian Church (HB02/03/007) until the church was amalgamated with the Dungiven Presbytery. Following a period of dereliction, the house was found to suffer from significant dry rot and was demolished. A 1991 photograph depicts a two-storey rendered building with a hipped slate roof and a projecting single-storey canted bay garden room, all windows of which were blocked at that time. The rubble from the demolished house remains on site, along with surviving entrance piers and some original planting from the former garden.
