Description
The building comprises a cow-tailed water pump situated in a prominent location outside a farmhouse and alongside a main road. Constructed between 1900 and 1919, it serves as an important reminder of a time when drinking water was sourced from public pumps. The pump is a closed-head lever type with a plain, spirally decorated column. It is of industrial archaeological interest and possesses notable architectural qualities relating to its style, proportions, ornamentation, and setting. Its historical significance lies in its social, cultural, economic importance, and its local interest.
