Windsor Baptist Church, 136-142 Malone Avenue, Belfast, BT9 6ET

The Windsor Baptist Church, located at 136-142 Malone Avenue, Belfast, was constructed between 1933 and 1934 and formally opened on 26 March 1934. The architect remains unconfirmed. The building is a gabled red brick church, characterised by tall, multi-paned windows with round arches.

Significant alterations have been made to the church over time. A substantial portion of the rear section was demolished, along with internal changes, resulting in the building no longer meeting the criteria for a full survey. An extension was built to the rear of the church after 1937 but before 1959, positioned close to the south façade. This extension was largely freestanding, connected by a short corridor to the east. This has subsequently been replaced with a more substantial extension, constructed post-1970 but before 1985, which now abuts the entire south side of the original building. It is probable that alterations were also made to the original brick-finished entrance porch at this later date, to connect it to the new extension. The church is situated within a conservation area.
