6 Redbridge Road, Rathfriland, Newry, Co Down, BT43 5AH

Two-storey/ three bay vernacular house with its right gable to Redbridge Road. Main façade faces E. Pitched modern corrugated metal roof with rendered brick skews and rendered and coped chimney to each gable. Half round gutters (metal to front, plastic to rear). Walls are lime rendered over rubble stone and has advanced eaves. Central bay of front elevation is narrower than the other two. It contains the front door, which is a sheeted door with fixed rectangular transom. To left and right bays at ground floor are 2/2 (vertically divided) exposed box sliding sash windows (with horns) and painted granite cills. There are similar windows to each bay at first floor. All openings to this façade have smooth rendered architraves. The left (S) gable is abutted by a single storey outbuilding and gable over is blank. Building has a pitched natural slate roof and walls as main block with sheeted half door to front wall. Its gable has an attic vent and its rear wall is blank. Rear wall (W) of the main block is abutted to right of centre by a lean-to return. Remaining wall is lime rendered with a tall exposed box-sliding sash to centre between ground and first floors (boarded up). Rear return has a mono pitched natural slate roof and walls as main block. It has a boarded up window on its left cheek, with similar window on right end of its front wall, and a sheeted timber door (three steps up) on its right cheek. The right (N) gable of the main block is blank. Small coursed rubble stone outbuilding in yard to S.
