Description
This is a record for a presumed demolished house, Lowburn, formerly located on the Ballyrobert Road in Crawfordsburn, County Down. The house was likely built around 1950. It was a single-storey structure with a flat roof, constructed of fair-faced concrete brick end walls, white painted brick walling, and concrete surrounds to the windows. The house was designed by the architect Frank Wright, for his own use. Directory entries initially listed Wright at Ardlee Avenue, Holywood, in 1950-51, but then at Lowburn. This partial record is based on the First Survey card and includes locational information that is not available. The Northern Ireland listing record notes that the building is not listed for architectural or historical interest.
