Site, at the junction of Newcastle Road and Kearney Road (c.3 miles SE of Portaferry) a of former, single storey, mid 19th century school house, demolished 1974 with a single storey dwelling house built on site. When surveyed in November 1970 it was described as 'Single / sty bldg. Roof slated. Chimneys rendered. Gabled ends. Projecting verges and eaves. Walls random split rubble. 4 - casement windows. 2 / light. Horizon. astrags. Ward [wood?] shutters. Door at R/H, sheeted & glazed panel blocked. Condition poor. Unoccupied. Front about 32 ft'
