Description

The foot bridge, which has been demolished, provided access over the railway line from the grounds of Bridge House to the seashore. According to the First Survey card, it was constructed of wrought and cast iron and featured an L-shaped plan with straight flights and decorative balustrades. The main bridge section was arched over the railway and possessed a wrought iron lattice balustrade. It was noted in 1975 that the condition was fair, but required painting, and that it likely dates to around 1870, coinciding with the construction of the house. The site is currently inaccessible.
