Millbrook Corn Mill, Ballymaconnell TD, Bangor, Co Down

Millbrook Corn Mill, located in Ballymaconnell near Bangor, County Down, has been demolished, and a residential development now occupies the site. The First Survey card describes the former mill buildings as a group of disused corn mill structures, previously used as farm stores. The mill itself comprised three storeys and had a slated roof. The walls were constructed of rubble and rendered with a white finish. A ruined wooden mill wheel was also present, alongside a dry stream. Windows of varying types were noted, including steel sash windows which contained grinding wheels and other machinery. Two buildings bore date stones: one inscribed with "John McConnell 1798," and another with "1841 James Lowry." A survey was conducted on 8th April 1970. The site is not listed, and no architectural or historical interest has been assigned. The record is a partial survey only.
