Standing stone, Glenmoore Farm, Holywood Road, Killarn, Newtownards, Co. Down, BT23 4?

A prehistoric standing stone stands within a field to the rear (west) of Glenmoore Farm, located at the end of a lane west of the Holywood Road, approximately two miles northwest of Newtownards in County Down. The stone is constructed of sandstone, likely Scrabo sandstone, and measures roughly 1.75 meters in height, with dimensions of 0.75 by 0.5 meters at its base. It has an irregular shape and displays apparent fault lines on its eastern face. The stone was likely erected in prehistoric times and may have held religious significance; it appears on Ordnance Survey maps from 1833/4 and 1858-60.
