St Joseph's National School, Glenavy Road, Crumlin, Co Antrim

St Joseph's National School is an early 20th century school building, constructed in 1914. It is a single-storey structure of red brick with slated gabled roofs, featuring a projecting gabled porch facing the front and a metal ventilator on the main roof. The building's main entrance faces east. Segmental arched sash windows are present, although most have been partially blocked. A plaque above the front doorway is inscribed “St Joseph's National School 1914”. A modern gabled extension has been added to the rear. The building’s condition is described as poor, with window and door openings to the rear permanently blocked. It stands within the built-up area of the village, facing the road and set back from it with a lawn in front. A modern timber ranch-style fence defines the front boundary, with a pair of original ornamental scrolling wrought iron gates mounted on modern steel posts. The school remains in use.
