Description

These are a group of late 17th and early 18th century buildings on Horton Street. They are constructed of rubble, with pantile roofs on most, and slate on number 21. Each building has a dormer window. Numbers 21 and 27 have sash windows with glazing bars. Numbers 22, 26 and 27 have an extra window above the door. The windows are mostly 2- or 3-light mullion casements; number 26 has a drip moulding, while numbers 21 and 27 have modern cement-rendered mullions. Numbers 21 and 22 have glazing bar sashes in pairs on the ground floor. Number 28 has a 4-light mullion window on the ground floor. The doorways are largely plain, except for number 25 which has a beaded inner edge and an ogee-moulded outer edge. Inside number 28, a fireplace has a cambered wooden lintel.
