Description

No. 17 High Street is a good three-storey building with a five-window painted brick front, dating from the 18th century. The ground floor has been partially altered to include a shop window. It features sash windows with keystones, rusticated quoins, and an eaves cornice. The entrance is highlighted by a Tuscan doorcase with a fanlight and pediment. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 15 to 21 (odd), which also features the Veterinary Surgery at No. 21, along with No. 13, all of which hold local interest.
