Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble, featuring rusticated ashlared alternating painted quoins. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles and has a crested ridge, with brick stacks at each end. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, each bay containing 12-pane sash windows set in moulded painted stone architraves. The central door opening has a moulded architrave and a six-panelled door, topped with a triangular pediment supported by consoles.
