Description
The main entrance block of Trinity Hospital is a former Poor Law Institution, likely built in the mid-19th century. It stands three stories tall and faces south, with a central section that projects forward. The building features a slate roof with an imitation pediment at the center and eaves supported by paired wooden brackets at the corners. It is constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings, showcasing banded quoins and a moulded stringcourse above the ground floor. The window arrangement consists of a 4-3-4 pattern, with architrave surrounds above and banded surrounds with sills on curved brackets for the round-headed ground floor windows. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a central round-headed doorway. At the rear, there are three wings that originally formed part of the building, radiating from a central hut, but these have been significantly altered and are not included in the listing.
