Description
The Former Wombwell Arms is a public house that has been converted into a house. It was built in the early to mid-19th century and is constructed from rubble sandstone with a roof of concrete interlocking tiles. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door topped by a fanlight with decorative glazing bars, all set within a four-centred-arched opening that has a small wooden canopy. The windows are sash style, with glazing bars, exposed sash boxes, and projecting sills, all beneath wedge lintels. The building has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, along with brick stacks at the ends. On the right side, there is a dressed stone surround to a blind oculus in the gable.
