Description

The Black Lion Public House is an 18th-century building located at 12 Finkle Street. It stands four storeys high and is finished in colour-washed roughcast with a slate roof. The façade features three windows with keystones, although the original glazing bars have been replaced. The top floor has casement windows, while the ground floor showcases three-light windows. A central entrance is flanked by early 19th-century Tuscan stone engaged columns and a plain frieze cornice. The Black Lion Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 18 (even).
