Description
The Castle Inn is an early 19th-century building constructed of ashlar stone with an old slate roof. It stands three storeys high and features modillions at the eaves. The entrance is a central door accessed by three steps, topped with a round-arched head and a Gothic fanlight set beneath a pediment supported by simple consoles. Each floor has three sash windows with plain reveals. To the right of the inn is a music room that was originally stables; this structure is made of white-washed stone rubble and has two low storeys, with barn doors, a boarded door featuring a fanlight, a modern window below, two small sash windows, and a loft door above. At the rear of the public house, there is a round-arched window that lights the staircase.
