Description

No 37 in Market Place, Ripon, is a building dating from 1739. It is constructed of white-washed brick and has three storeys. The building features a wood modillioned eaves cornice and string courses. It has four bays with sash windows that include glazing bars. The ground floor has been modernized. Notably, the two central first floor windows are adorned with attractive Regency iron balconies. Additionally, there is a contemporary lead moulded rainwater head that is inscribed with "G WM 1739".
