Description
This building is a folly or game larder located approximately 200 metres west of Bilton Hall. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of brown-red brick with a stone plinth and a thatched roof. The structure is circular, measuring about 6 metres in diameter, and is single storey.
On the north side, there is a blocked round-arched doorway made of raised headers, while the south side features a similar opening that has been enlarged with a wooden lintel added. There are circular windows of raised headers on the west and east sides, with the east window still retaining its wooden window or ventilator frame. The wall surface is divided into eight panels by brick pilasters that rise from the plinth and meet a projecting eaves band. The original purpose of the building is uncertain; however, it has been used in recent years as a shelter for deer or cattle and is situated near an ice house, which is not included in the listing.
