Description
No. 86 High Street is a shop with a dwelling above, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick, which has been painted, and features a stone slate roof with six ridge courses of pantiles. It has two storeys and two first-floor windows. The entrance consists of a half-glazed door with a blocked overlight, and there is a plate-glass shop window to the left. Both the door and window have wooden casings, and there is a plain fascia above them, supported by large moulded consoles with a deep cornice. To the right of the entrance is a panelled passage door. On the first floor, there is a 20-pane bowed sash window in an architrave on the left and a 16-pane sash window with a flush frame on the right. Additionally, there is a lead rainwater head on the left side of the building.
