Description

Trinity Methodist Church, built around 1879, is designed in the Gothic style. It features a three-bay nave, a sanctuary, and transepts, all covered by a slate roof. The exterior is made of rusticated grit stone ashlar and includes traceried windows. A three-bay porch leads to the north entrance, which is complemented by a northwest tower with a broach spiral that was added in 1889. Inside, the church boasts an open timber barrel-vaulted roof and galleries on three sides. The central pulpit is positioned with an organ behind it. The church is included in the listing for its value to the townscape.
