Description
Nos 124 and 126 on High Street are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared limestone and topped with a stone slate roof. The buildings rise to three storeys and feature two bays. The doors are located at the extreme left and right, each consisting of six panels with three-pane overlights above. There are flanking pilasters with a cornice and a pedimented blocking course above the right doorway. Between the doors are two bow windows: the left window has four panes, while the right window has twenty panes with one hinged pane. The first floor has sixteen-pane recessed sash windows, and the second floor has twelve-pane sashes, although the lower bars are missing from the left window. The houses have projecting sills and plain lintels. A central banded brick stack runs across the ridge.
