Description
The main block of Holy Trinity School, built in the early 19th century, is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof with ashlar pedimented gables. The building is one storey high and consists of seven bays, each with tall round-arched windows that have glazing bars. Above each window is a sunk oblong panel. The central bay projects slightly forward and is adorned with four gadrooned and scrolled consoles at the eaves, along with a raised ashlar plaque situated between the two central consoles. Above the eaves, there is an ashlar plinth topped with a pediment that reflects the style of architect John Soane.
Historically, this building was established as a Church of England National School. Following the opening of the Ripon and Wakefield Diocesan Training College in 1862, it served as the practice school for the girls from the College.
