Description
Skewkirk Hall is an 18th-century house that has undergone restoration and additions in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of red-brown brick and features a grey slate roof and an ashlar porch. The building has two storeys and an entrance front with four bays. To the right of the first bay, there is a 20th-century glazed door set within an architrave. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, located in flush wood architraves on both the ground and first floors, all topped with flat stretcher arches. A projecting band runs along the first floor, and there is a modillioned eaves cornice. The hipped roof has a ridge stack positioned between the second and third bays. The large porch above the front door is supported by four Ionic columns and features an entablature, cornice, and a balustrade adorned with elaborately carved panels of scrolled foliage. The interior includes some earlier features that have been inserted.
