Description
East Lodge, located approximately 600 metres to the east of Clifton Castle, is a lodge dating from around 1800. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a graduated stone slate roof. The building is single storey and has three bays, featuring a side entrance and a two-step podium. Four Doric columns support a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The central bay contains a sash window with glazing bars, while the bay to the right is blank. The left bay has walls that are set back to create a porch under an entablature. The roof is hipped, with a ridge stack that also has a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The left side of the building features a six-panel door.
