Description
The building is a cowhouse and stables, which are now used as a henhouse and stable with a hayloft, located to the west of Natland Hall. The west wing likely dates from the 18th century and has undergone later alterations and additions, while the north wing is an early 19th-century addition. The structure features rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof with a stone ridge and a finial on the eastern gable of the north wing. It has an L-shaped plan, with the north wing comprising seven bays. There is a cart entrance at the inner corner of the L, featuring a timber lintel and board doors. The stables have board doors and 19th-century windows, and the hayloft is accessed by an external flight of stone steps leading to a board door. This building is included for its group value.
