Description

Nos 1 to 3 Kitchenhill is an early 18th century building made of lime-washed red sandstone with a stone roof and three stone chimneys. It has two storeys. The central doorway, which is now No 2, features a shaped stone lintel inscribed with the date 1714 and the initials I.K. On the ground floor, there are three windows, each with either 6 or 16 panes. Above, there are five sash windows with either 12 or 16 panes. No 2 likely started as a farmhouse and barn before being converted into three cottages, and there is an additional blocked window in this property.
