Description

Nos 11 and 12 West Lane are an early 19th century building of two storeys and a basement. Originally, the fronts now visible were the rear elevations. The present frontages are stuccoed and feature two modern doors, with one window on each floor. A central round-arched staircase window, fitted with reticulated glazing bars, is a prominent feature. The original front elevations are constructed of ashlar, displaying centrally located panelled doors set within a joint doorcase of pilasters and a cornice. There are two 16-paned sash windows on each floor, and four above, all set within red sandstone architraves.
