Description

The barn adjoining Friary Cottage is a 17th century structure located in Appleby in Westmorland. It features thick walls made of red sandstone. The cottage itself is from the 18th century and has two storeys, with a boarded floor, one modern window on the ground floor, and three windows above. The barn contains a fragment of a 14th century window in the gable, which likely originated from White Friars House that once occupied this site.
