Description
This stable with hayloft, located approximately 10 meters south-west of Frosthwaite Farmhouse, dates from 1849, as indicated by the initials and date "IY" on a plaque in the west gable. The building features limestone rubble walls, limestone quoins, and through-stones in the gable. It is two storeys high, with a single-storey extension to the right. Each floor has one board door, and there is a window on each side of the ground floor. Inside, the stable has a cobble floor and five stalls with original partitions. The stable is listed mainly for its group value.
