Description

High Bow Farmhouse and the adjoining barn are located in Moorhouse and date from the early 19th century, while the barn may be from the 18th century or earlier. The farmhouse features Flemish bond brickwork and a Welsh slate roof with end brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a 1½-storey long barn to the right. The entrance has a top-glazed four-panel door set in a prostyle Ionic porch. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are positioned under segmental brick arches with painted keystones. The barn has 20th-century windows closest to the house, along with a 20th-century entrance and casement windows to the right. The end wall of the barn has been rebuilt in brick, and the rear features plank doors and lofts.
