Description

Ivy House is an early 18th-century house located on Wetheral Ghyll Road, Scotby. It was previously listed under the name No.9 Ghyll Road. The house is constructed of Flemish bond brick walls set upon a sandstone plinth, with a slate roof and brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has four bays. The moulded stone entrance surround features a plain entablature and moulded cornice, and contains a top-glazed six-panel door. Sash windows with glazing bars are topped with gauged flat brick arches and keystones, and their cases sit almost flush with the outer wall.
