2. Mid-C18 building in open courtyard plan and forming good terminal feature at Southern end of Market Place. All 2 storeys. YMCA occupies the centre block and has a slightly projecting porch with doorway and cornice on console brackets, a 12-paned sash window above the door, and a gabled dormer above the eaves cornice; 2 sash windows on each floor at each side of porch. Projecting wing at each end - No 44 to the left has a panelled door and 1 window on each floor on gable end towards the street, and No 45 to the right has a C19 shop front with a window above.

Nos 41 to 45 (consec) and YMCA form a group.
