Description

Nos 17 and 18 on Howgill Street are 19th-century buildings that are pebble-dashed and feature pilaster strips at the corners. The structure stands three storeys tall and includes a house and a butcher's shop, both occupied by the same owner. There are two doors and two windows on the ground floor, along with four windows on each upper floor. The windows have plain architraves, and the glazing bars have been removed. The gable end of the building faces Irish Street, specifically towards No 4. Nos 17 and 18 are part of a group that includes Nos 4, 5, and 7 on Irish Street.
