Description

Holmwood is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made later. The front of the building is constructed of ashlar, using alternating courses of limestone and ironstone. It has a Welsh slate roof with stone coping, kneelers to the side gables, and a central front gable featuring a pediment supported by kneelers.

The house is two storeys high with attics; two small windows are located in the north gable. It features three triple-light stone mullioned windows with leaded glazing. Cornices are present above the ground floor and central first-floor windows. A window is visible in the cellar. The pediment displays an inscribed date of 1689, along with what appear to be the initials A.L. A lower 19th-century wing extends at a right angle to the rear of the building, incorporating a doorway.
